The care and patience alongside safe posing techniques required to photograph tiny babies is a skill which I have trained for and honed over many years, so that you can enjoy a relaxing photo session, confident in the knowledge your baby is in secure hands, whilst I tenderly create your baby's portraits.
I use a 'flow' technique to gently support and move your baby whilst they sleep, through 5-6 poses on my custom made newborn beanbag or alongside handmade newborn props. Here, your baby will be supported with soft pillow-like wadding and carefully posed in 'bowl-shaped' nests to create curled up, natural poses. I will also shoot with your baby snuggled in your arms and lovingly cradled in your hands. Parents and siblings are gently encouraged to participate in the session, too.

BOOKING YOUR NEWBORN SHOOT
REBECCA MAY PHOTOGRAPHY - YOUR NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER IN MAIDSTONE
Newborn Sessions are best suited to babies under 3 weeks of age, as this is the best time to preserve your early memories of your baby's sleepy, curly newness. Parents are advised to contact the studio just after their 12 week scan to guarantee space in my diary. There is no additional charge for twins or multiples. I frequently become fully booked 6-8 weeks in advance, so please do not delay.
When you are ready to book, I will pencil you into my studio diary using your estimated due date as a guide, leaving enough room around your EDD should baby arrive early or late. Then, when baby arrives we will schedule your Newborn Session, which will take place at my baby studio in Maidstone, Kent.
To secure your session, I only require a £99 booking fee.

COLLECTIONS AND PACKAGES
After you have enjoyed your newborn photo shoot, I will prepare your gallery. Each individual digital portrait will be lovingly hand retouched to my exacting standards. Once completed, parents are invited back to my studio two to three weeks after your session to view a final gallery of approximately 20 plus beautifully hand enhanced and fully edited images. It’s only at this point when you may decide which package you may want to purchase.
The photography session fee is £99 this is a non-refundable retainer to secure your booking. Collections are then purchased separately. Many parents opt for the ever-popular Digital Collections, below.
Should you wish, however to simply purchase a few prints rather than a Collection, due to the time involved in creating, processing, ordering and printing, there is a minimum order fee of £299.
* Should there be more images in your final gallery on the viewing day, they are available to purchase at £30 per digital file.
All images are printed onto the best quality paper with accurate colour and detail reproduction. In addition to the prints you receive with your package, you can order additional prints of your favourite photos at the viewing.
Your digital images are presented in high resolution fully hand edited jpegs on a USB drive. They will be very high quality and printable up to poster size. The digital collections include printing rights.
