Hi, I'm Rebecca and I am the artist behind Rebecca May Photography.

My style is natural and gentle and I am known for my sensitivity when working with newborns, babies and families. I have a flair for noticing the smallest of visual details, alongside the quality of light and those fleeting expressions which come together to make extraordinary

and timeless portraits. 

​

After having worked in education as an Art and Photography teacher for many years, I set my teacher's apron down in 2009 and began to photograph tiny babies and expectant mums.

I found my intuition and empathy made me a good match for clients moving through new uncharted chapters of their lives.

I now have a studio in Maidstone, Kent, where I photograph babies and families and where I also work as an artist. It is a happy space full of sunshine and birdsong and lots of inspiration.

​

When I'm not photographing families, I am busy looking after my own tribe, we have two teenagers and a dog who often need walking. Music and travel make up a great deal of my interests too. I have been told I sing a good lullaby!
